Christmas at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols windows are truly the stuff of dreams. Always something different yet completely beautiful, they never fail to amaze and astound making every passer by stop and take in the beauty.

This year Harvey Nichols have taken a trip to the Orient with their 'Eastern Promise' windows, comprised of hand-made props framed by geometric Oriental screens all in fluorescent neon hues which just glow with radiance at night. The fun continues in store with geisha's meets fashionista meets Harajuku inspired mannequins all in Lady Gaga like wigs and doll like make-up.

Heading up to the cafe on the 5th floor, gave the perfect opportunity to see all the bedazzled mannequins decorating the escalators.

The Fifth Floor Cafe is perfect for a quick bite or even a full on feast in our case, with an all day dining menu made up of popular classics using only the finest seasonal produce. The open plan layout gives the cafe a relaxed environment with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the Knightsbridge rooftops.

Ordering almost everything on the menu it is safe to say that you can certainly not go wrong as every single piece was positively delicious.

When Rachael's fish and chips was brought over I instantly turned green with envy. The beer batter was perfect and crispy with mushy peas to die for.

I love a good sesame bun.

The zucchini chips were out of this world. In a parmigiano breadcrumb we were like scavengers and couldn't get out hands on them quick enough.

If I could choose one last thing to eat for the rest of my life, I would have to choose lobster. So succulent and flavoursome, I'm always left wanting more. This lobster roll was rather special. Chunks of lobster, celery and onion tossed in a dill and lemon mayonnaise. Yummy yummy in my tummy.

Gotta have a trio of sorbets for a palette cleanser after such a mammoth feast.

A glorious meal and positively filled to the brim. If you want to try out the cafe for yourself book online (here) to make sure you get a table and click here to have a cheeky look at the menu.

Hope you've all had a great weekend! Happy Sunday!
