I can't quite believe that it is 2014 already.
What a whirlwind this last year has been.
The ups and the downs.
The struggles and the successes.
New friends, new homes.
The thing is... I wouldn't have changed any part of it.
It seems only yesterday that I was back home celebrating with my old school friends with the infamous spiky cap
which I massively regret not bringing to New York but looking back at all my adventures this year, it was pretty damn spectacular (click here to see my last NYE's adventures).
Having spent New Years in Time Square a couple years back, I thought I would have to find an alternative to being packed in like sardines with hundreds of thousands of tourists all waiting to watch the infamous ball drop. So with my beautiful Dutchies in tow we dolled up and strutted off to Tao Downtown for a night of champagne, canapés and kisses at midnight
pfff I wish.
From LBD to the furry monsters we were ready to brave it out in the cold (click here to get my little Nasty Gal number).
With the champagne flowing, well all night long, we weren't photographed without a flute in tow.
With less than 30 minutes to go, the 2014 memorabilia came out in force and of course I couldn't resist donning a glittery headband.
So after a few
too many glasses we hopped in a cab in which - whilst I promptly fell asleep, Claudine revelled in ALL of her 2014 headgear, taking a few thousand selfies.
Well what night would be complete without a late night snack? And with the fridge being absolutely barron, all I could find was a block of Jarlsberg.
I was extraordinarily happy.
So lets do this 2014. A whole year of new starts, exciting opportunities and unknown adventures. I can't wait to kick off this year hitting the ground running. Hope you're New Year's Eve celebration was as sparkly and fantastic as ever, and may this year bring you more love, joy, happiness and success than you've ever dreamed of.
2014 we're ready for ya
