LFW: Burberry A/W 2013

London Fashion Week is always a sartorial spectacle with Somerset House being flooded with bloggers, fashion photographers and style icons getting papped left right and centre. I'm sure that I am bias, but London really does have the best street style in the world. No plaid shirt and bagged jean combo nor strict sharp tailoring rules, but some of the best and most unique ensembles thrown together by the chicest individuals this country has ever seen. Don't you worry guys, I'll do a LFW street style shoot soon but I just couldn't wait to give you guys a view into the Burberry show today featuring none other than the absolute dream trio; Karlie, Cara & Jourdan oh to be that leggy *sigh*.

What I'm Wearing: ASOS Gilet & Top, Vintage Levi's & Hat, Kurt Geiger Shoes & Celine Bag.

Lets just start by saying that it wouldn't be a Burberry show without a bit of trench loving. Christopher Bailey had really outdone himself with the selected few featured in the line up, mixed in amongst the bold stripes and two tone animal prints. The blood red PVC and animal print panelling took the iconic trench to a whole new level, whilst the absolute show stopper piece had to be the camel cashmere coat worn by Jourdan Dunn with metallic gold appliqué animal print. Adding that on my 'list of items I must immediately buy when I win the lottery'. Leather tassels with silver eyelet detail, kitsch all over heart silk print blouses and skin tight pencil skirts are all taking Burberry into a slightly more urban look for next winter, yes, well of course I want it all! Here are some of my favourite looks from the show.

Just in case you needed some more trench kisses, here is a little video I shot from of the outstanding finale featuring a live performance from the extremely talented Tom Odell (be sure to check out my instagram @georgiabenj for some more FROW action from the Burberry show).

Ain't No Wifey - Dimepiece

Dimepiece is the go-to brand for cult graphics, femme streetwear and full on girl power. With a clientelle consisting of Nicki Minaj, Cara Delevingne, Estelle, Katy Perry, trust me the list is endless, you certainly cannot go wrong. This 'ain't no wifey' tank is absolutely fantastic, it arrived yesterday from the US of A and I couldn't wait to blog about it. A touch of irony with a good helping of female empowerment on the side. It really can be worn so many ways, and I decided to pair mine with neon accessories, my favourite leather trousers and of course some Jeffery Campbells to finish it all off. Photos by the lovely Emma Anderson.

Victoria's Secret Show 2012

Yes. Its that time of year again.
No. Not Christmas. That annual event where both men and women from all round the globe stop in their tracks to watch what can only be described as one of the most coveted and unadulterated events in the fashion calendar. Just a word of warning, if you having a bit of a "fat day" today we all have them, I advise you to stop reading now.

This morning us Brits woke up to social media sites flooded with footage from last nights show. Starting the infamous Victoria's Secrets Angels including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Mirander Kerr, Karlie Kloss as well as highly deserving  newcomers including  British beauties Jourdan Dunn and the lovely Cara Delevigne, held at New Yorks' Lexington Avenue Armory. The show also featured the delights of performers such as Justin Bieber & Rihanna, who was dressed in an equally as provocative corseted silk dress with lace gloves and strings of pearls - think Audrey Hepburn meets a VS Angel.

As per usual the show was divided into different parts with intricately crafted one off pieces to fit the goddess like creatures immaculately. 'Dangerous Liaisons', 'Calendar Girls', 'Pink Is Us', 'Silver Screen Angels', and 'Angels in Bloom' were the 5 themes this year with the Angels wearing everything from candy cane wings to native American headdresses.

The hundreds of thousands of dollars spent, month and months of planning all paid off with the show be an enormous success and reaching in the millions in the twitterosphere. Here are some of my highlights from the show.

Goodness knows how these women grow up to be this flawless, but I guess they don't give out wings to any old Joe.
