Monday

MMM for H&M

What I'm Wearing:  Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Chain Necklace, Karl Printed Tank, Zara Leather Trousers, Isabel Marant Sneakers.

The final day in the studio this semester before Christmas break, and managed to make a gorgeous pair of cigarette pants to match my baroque blaze. I love making my own clothes and knowing that no one else will have the same item as me, I really don't know why I don't do it more often. So so tired and cannot wait to snuggle under my duvet amongst my pillow mountain and sleep all my worries away.

Sunday

Black Maxi

What I'm Wearing: Topshop Sweater, Zara Maxi Skirt, Vinage Blouse, Kurt Geiger 'Vera' Boots.

The low sun in winter is just so beautiful, making shadows go on for miles and cherishing the every decreasing hours of sunlight each day. Black is just so chic, no need for any extra fuss, print or pattern. Reminds me of the super sartorial fashionistia's in Manhattan - take me back there! But I guess all things come to those who wait... don't they? It is clear that the library on a Sunday is the place to be. Definitely one of the busiest I've ever seen it and oh so warm with the heating on full whack (way warmer than my apartment). Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and enjoying the last of it before another manic Monday.

Saturday

Bomber Time

We spend hours and hours working on pieces for our collection to create 'innovative' and frankly bizarre pieces as part of our 24 look collection, but never do we have time to create something for ourselves. Finally, toiles completed and time to spare in the studio I had my chance! Ive been wanting a leather sleeved bomber for a while now, but I have yet to find the perfect one, so using my friend, Tona's pattern, I constructed my very own bomber. Using a tan cashmere for the body and black leather for the sleeves, I was off. Cutting and sewing away to create my own little masterpiece.

I love it when its all empty on campus. It makes the perfect setting for a photoshoot with all the gorgeous old buildings behind, just a shame it gets dark at 4pm. I'm thinking of putting a black rib knit round the hem and poppers down the front. What do you all think?

Monday

Tell Me About It, Stud

What I'm Wearing: Versace for H&M Leather Jacket, Karl Berdine Shirt, French Connection Moire Trousers, Furla Candy Bag & Isabel Marant Sneakers.

It is a very rare occasion to see these steps not covered in people. Much like the steps of the Met in New York, people flock to fill every square inch at lunch time sipping on coffee, biting into sandwiches and perhaps even delving into the rare yogurt cup too (sorry about the Gossip Girl reference, I had a bit of a marathon yesterday and still rather obsessed). Black and white is such a great look and works no matter what pieces you combine. Ever since I got this jacket last year it has literally not left my side, and I love to watch peoples reactions when they see it. The subtle nods of people showing their appreciation, to the downright stares from those who think I look slightly like a disco ball, either way it is my go-to jacket to wear, whenever and wherever I feel.

Friday

Khaki in Vogue

I picked up this top at Vogue's Fashion Night Out (click here) earlier this year and have yet had the opportunity to wear it. Wearing simple items with pretty accessories is always such a style winner for me and this bejewelled collar from Monki fits that brief perfectly. A dash of glitz and glam without being too OTT. WOO HOO! The weekend is finally here! Cannot wait to put on my dancing shoes and party the night away! What are you all up to this weekend?

Wednesday

Ripped Jeans

What I'm Wearing: Topshop Sweater, Abercrombie Destroyed Jeans, Vintage Tartan Scarf & High-Top Converse All Stars.

Keeping it casual today in my ripped boyfriend jeans and loose fitting sweater, glammed up with piles of wrist candy. When the weather takes a turn from rather mild to completely freezing its always better to pile on the comfy sweaters for a dash of casual mastery. I've raved about this Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick before, in one of my previous posts (click here) but I still can't get enough of it. The matt texture makes it perfect to cary you through from day to night and its long lasting effect means you don't have to constantly be reapplying it, how could you possibly ask for more?! How do you guys make casual chic?
