Label Boutique

Label Boutique is a great little boutique situated right in the heart of Headingley. I always love popping in there when I'm back up at university for a fix of the latest styles or that key unique piece to add to my ever growing wardrobe. Always immaculately kept with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers as a centrepiece, its an absolute treasure amidst the studenty cafes and iconic sporting stadium.

I am currently totally obsessed with studs and with the store full of stud adorned clothing, I was absolutely in my element. Studded shoulder pieces on jumpers, tees and blouses, studded totes, clutches and purses and even studded belts, the choices were absolutely endless. Shopping at Label Boutique always makes you feel like your getting a one off piece with new styles coming in constantly and the collection changing on a regular basis.

After a huge trying on sesh chose a black low arm hole vest with studded shoulders, and a sequinned collar blouse whilst Emma chose an amazing pair of dark grey disco pants (which I cannot wait to steal out of her wardrobe!).

Having the store to ourselves led to a lot of prancing around the store getting more bits to try and posing in the mirror, acting out our own little 'Malibu Moment'.

Minus the tiara and top-hat of course.

"Who Are We!?"

That reminds me, I really need to watch Wild Child again soon!

Looking forward to going back already to pick up a couple more cheeky purchases.

Find them on Twitter here.

Anna Sui Internship

collegefashion.net
I have just finished my 3 month internship at Anna Sui, and what a whirlwind of a 3 months it has been. Working in New York’s fashion district has it’s ups and down, and despite the dirty streets and an obscenely hectic schedule, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Lunching in Bryant Park

Fashion interns are often confused as slaves...

"Get this thing from that shop I like. Find that piece of paper that I had in my hand the other day. Go and get 5 no foam skimmed lattees with extra shots.”

As well as many other nonsensical and impossible tasks. And of course all completely for free. However at the end of your internship at Anna Sui you get rewarded for your hard work with a clothing allowance. With a bit of sweet talking and eyelash fluttering I managed to wangle myself 3 items from their current Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
