Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge is touristy yes, but one of the must do activities if you're ever in the city. Looking at all the glorious views of Manhattan's iconic skyline just takes your breath away. Well perhaps it was the sub-zero temperatures, but who can tell. Despite the cold, I threw off my fabulous Yeti coat from ASOS to take a few snaps on the bridge, to the surprise of the bundled up tourists who looked at me with a puzzled look of utter madness. But all in the name of fashion right? 

I recently discovered a rather special little watering hole in the city by the name of The Daily, which is partner of New York's infamous Public restaurant. Complete with an old fashioned movie style cocktail menu and packed with bizarre and wonderful framed quotes all over the walls. One that particularly caught my eye is one that I feel we all should always have in mind when we're having those less than perfect days.

"Today we were unlucky. But remember we only have to be lucky once"

Damn right!

Silver Frost

What I'm Wearing: Vintage Fur Coat, Topshop Sweater, MissGuided Kitty Skater Skirt, H&M Necklace, Kurt Geiger 'Vera' Boots. 

You can always tell its winter when the fur, cashmere and tights are whipped out. Today was certainly one of those days. Barely reaching zero degrees, it was a tremendous struggle to pull myself out from under my duvet this morning. But, I just love fresh footprints in the frosty grass, which make a gorgeous crunching sound as you walk. This metallic skirt from Miss Guided is perfect for crisp winter days and can't wait to wear it with a cropped tee and some killer heels this weekend. And it's finally here! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Winter Whites

What I'm Wearing: French Connection Crepe Mesh Top, Topshop Leigh Jeans & Kurt Geiger Vera Boots. 

You may assume that white jeans are only for summer. Walking along the harbour in Lake Como or wandering around through the glorious food markets of Tuscany. Oh I wish I was in Italy right now. But that is just not the case. Dressed in all white makes me feel oh so Christmassy, like the first layer of fresh snowfall in the morning not that it snows in England till Spring or the dusting of icing sugar on top of homemade Christmas cake. Although I am such a lover of summer, with the sun, sea and of course a tan, winter is the time for snuggling up in big knitted jumpers and drinking hot coco in front of the fire. This scarf is so soft and warm and knitted by none other than Emma's lovely mummy, (I'll be putting on of those on my Christmas list, thank you) and I just love the placement of the gathers on this top, just makes me want to twirl, spin and play in the leaves all day.
